Ron Howard plays precocious Eddie Corbett, a boy determined to get his widowed father Tom (played wonderfully by Glenn Ford) remarried in this charming romantic comedy. Featuring Shirley Jones, Jerry Van Dyke, and with uncredited appearances by Ron Howard’s family members Clint and Rance Howard, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father was later adapted into a popular sitcom with Bill Bixby stepping into Glenn Ford’s role.
