Celebrated director Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire) documents the handful of performances given by the Buena Vista Social Club, a band of Cuban musicians brought together by American musician Ry Cooder.  Showing these performers playing to sold out venues as many of them are traveling for the first time to the United States, the film celebrates music and its power to connect.  A hit soundtrack album was released from the film, and many of the musicians had popular solo releases follow.  The powerful sound system at the Milford Independent Cinema will surround us in the great music of this documentary that is celebrating 25 years of release!
