The Milford Independent Cinema offers a unique space that can cater to a variety of purposes, including birthday parties, family reunions, business and corporate events, field trips, and private parties for a fun evening with your group of friends. Our cinema can accommodate 106 guests (provided indoor entertainment venues are allowed 100% capacity), and we have an 8’ by 20’ performance/presentation space immediately below the screen. In addition, we have the ability to set up a podium and microphone. Finally, we can play slideshows, a variety of videos, and, of course, the movie of your choice! Please plan your rental outside of our normal showtime schedule (Wednesday through Sunday evenings).
Our general rental agreement details are outlined below. We are also able to customize events to meet the needs of your experience. Please keep in mind that the Milford Independent Cinema is a nonprofit endeavor of the Huron Valley Film Organization (tax ID number 85-3221988), and all proceeds collected from rentals go toward keeping our cinema a strong and thriving part of the community!

Private Parties/Birthday Parties:
The MIC is perfect for a movie-themed party celebrating any occasion. We will provide the space, equipment, a staff member, and we will take care of cleaning up. Our concession stand will be open and available for purchases. If you would like to bring cake and ice cream, we can also provide plates and utensils. Parties will have 15 minutes to allow guests to arrive, obtain concessions, and find a seat before the movie begins. Once the movie is over, parties will have an additional 30 minutes for presents and dessert. For an additional charge we can also put a message on our marquee during the event!
The MIC is a unique and engaging space to host an event for the professional business community, whether it is a fun staff outing to watch a movie or a presentation. We can project slideshows and videos, and we can provide a podium and microphone if required for an additional charge.
School Field Trips and Nonprofit Events:
The MIC can be rented at a reduced rate for educational programs or by area nonprofit organizations. Our staff will work with your school or organization to provide a memorable experience at an affordable price.
We require a 50% deposit due within 3 days of booking to ensure reservation. Deposit will be calculated according to base rental fee plus headcount estimate either at time of booking or within 14 days of event, whichever comes first. No outside food or beverage is permitted without prearranged agreement with cinema management. Call or email us today to book your rental!
